Welcome to the first episode of “Women in Trade” Show with our host Sophie Krantz, who is an International Trade advisor & Industry trainer.
Our first guest was Molly Harriss Olson, CEO of Fairtrade Australia and New Zealand, who discusses all the services, goods and aids provided by her company and how it could be beneficial for businesses. She advises on how to re-establish or develop international supply chains which were disrupted due to this pandemic. She also speaks about the negative consequences of not having a sustainable supply chain and gives some tips for businesses to make their supply chain more sustainable.
Then we were joined by Emilie Sydney-Smith, CEO of ExO Works, where she brings out how the firm has been highly connected in the times of this pandemic. She indicates a few sectors which can overcome the uncertain situations and become stronger. She advises new businesses when and how to scale globally. She also asks to take the advantage of the current situation instead of waiting for the normal times to return.
In the end, we were joined by Stephanie Woollard OAM, Founder and CEO of Seven Women, who shares her vision of building a successful international business, which is purpose-driven and self-sustainable. She describes how Seven Women has dealt the changes to the business due to the pandemic situation and also advises business leader’s on how to be stronger in these disruptive times.
