AASYP Youth Insights Episode 02 with Liam McFadzean-Lodge and Lauren Beanland
Welcome to the latest episode of AASYP Youth Insights with our hosts Liam McFadzean-Lodge, Melbourne Hub Manager & Lauren Beanland, Melbourne Project Officer at AASYP.
To kick off the episode we have Queenie Pearl Tomaro, Sub-Editor at AASYP, who spoke about her work and how she got involved in peacebuilding and its objectives. She shared the importance of involving in peacebuilding and its future prognosis.
For the second segment, we have Sella Ramadhani, Digital Events Officer at AASYP, who discussed the work at AASYP and details of different digital events. She briefed about modern slavery and its impacts. She discussed the increase in human trafficking & forced labour in the time of the pandemic. She shared some successful strategies to tackle modern slavery in the coming years.
To wrap up the episode we have Alice Hong, Creative strategist & Singapore Hub Manager at AASYP and Dao Nguyen, Board Director & Chief Editor at AASYP. They spoke about youth perspectives and the importance of valuing it. They shared details of the value received by different organisations and government for youth perspectives and gave some tips on how to value youth perspectives.
